Norton Online Backup, while not compatible with mobile devices, provides good backups for computers and allows safe data transfer and storage.
Pros
• Norton Online Backup transfers and stores data automatically, most of the process taking place online. There’s only a tiny component that needs to be downloaded onto your system.
• Norton Online Backup provides one of the best security systems. This is no surprise since security is a Norton trademark. Data is encrypted and transferred via a 128-bit SSL and stored on 256-bit AES encrypted servers in multiple locations.
• The software provides file versioning which ensures that multiple versions of saved (and even deleted) files are available up to 90 days. This is longer than the average period allowed by other online backups.
• The interface is very easy to use and file sharing via email is also possible with the option of restricting access with a password. The plan costs $49.99 for a year.
• There is excellent support via email, chat and telephone.
Con
Norton online backup only provides 25GB storage limiting the amount of data that can be stored. However, this hurdle can be crossed by employing data compression.
